Daniel Penn Associates included in Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Seaport-e Contract Award

Hartford, CT - June 2008

Daniel Penn Associates, as a member of the Logistics Management Institute Team, was awarded a Navy contract to provide engineering, technical, programmatic and professional support services to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and other commands, including Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps.

NAVSEA established the Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) as a web-based procurement vehicle that would improve the acquisition of goods and services. Daniel Penn’s contribution will be in the areas of operations management, continuous process improvement, lean and six sigma methodologies, maintenance management, predictive and preventive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance, failure mode effects criticality analysis, computerized maintenance management systems, fault tree analysis, material flow, warehouse design and layout, warehouse location and operations, warehouse automation, advanced inventory systems, and material handling equipment.
