Daniel Penn Associates Awarded Organizational
Consulting Services Contract
Hartford, CT - June 16, 2006
The University of Connecticut awarded an organizational consulting
services contract to Daniel Penn Associates (DPA), a Hartford-based management consulting
and training firm. DPA will provide the University’s Department of Human Resources with on-going
services for organizational assessments, mediation and conflict resolution, and programs designed
to target sources of organizational dysfunction. This is a one-year contract with three possible
one-year extensions.
“UCONN has worked hard to raise its level of performance and as a result has become
a top public University in New England. We’re very pleased to be helping the University
with their organizational assessment and development needs,” said Mr. Tony Rodriguez,
DPA’s president. “It is also important that the University is reaching out to the
small business community, and that we have the resources capable of meeting their needs. This
is truly a win-win situation.”
Daniel Penn Associates will work closely with University staff to address a range of organizational
issues, including organizational change, communications, competition for resources, leadership
activity, policies and procedures, and attitudes and beliefs. Utilizing experienced DPA consultants,
the University hopes to address and resolve many of these issues and develop a more effective
and collaborative working organization.
Daniel Penn Associates is a minority owned and operated management consulting and training
firm with a proven track record of helping clients improve performance, reduce costs and achieve
true competitive advantage. Since 1978, DPA has served private industry and government with
services including business process re-engineering, change management, cost reduction programs,
lean transformation, organizational improvement, supply chain logistics and optimization, and
supplier diversity programs.
