The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) has engaged Daniel Penn Associates to provide Inventory Management training to their Materials Services Group. Training content will emphasize the following:

For the Planning staff:
- - Forecasting (Horizon/Demand/Analysis)
- Focus Forecast
- Forward Buying
- Trend Forecasting Models
- EOQ (formula and application), Reorder cycle, Reorder Point Replenishment
- Maximum & Minimum (reorder point triggers, calculations and models)
- Maximizing Stock Turnover
- Purchase Price Variance


For the Warehouse staff:
- -

Cycle counting modules with emphasis on record accuracy

- Physical security/controlled access
- Receiving and inspection
- Put away/pulling
- Auditing/researching discrepancies
