Helping a Leading U.S. Energy Company Expand Its Diversity Supplier Program

A leading U.S. energy producer asked Daniel Penn Associates (DPA) to help it expand its diversity supplier program.  The goal? To increase the company’s spend with minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE).

DPA developed a strategic implementation plan that included supply chain planning, sourcing and development, measurement, education and training and communications.

As a result, the company and its subsidiaries have made close to a half billion dollars in corporate spending on diverse suppliers annually. In 2012, HispanTelligence recently ranked the company 20th of its top 25 leaders in supplier diversity among Fortune 1000 companies, American subsidiaries of Global 500 companies and large U.S. public and private companies.
