Our Approach

The key to success in implementing our Continuous Improvement Model is a three-step process to assess organization performance, design and implement solutions, and track results. This allows us to stage projects and focus on objectives. In turn, we're able to achieve measurable results, ensure active participation at all levels, and remain flexible enough to meet daily operating priorities.

Our Three Steps

I. Assessment. Understanding clients' business requirements is essential to configuring solutions best suited to achieve improvement objectives and corporate goals. In this phase, our focus is to define the gaps between where the current operating environment is and where it needs to be. Working in conjunction with management, we develop action plans tailored to meet the organization’s current needs and future requirements. We present top management with our findings and a corrective action plan, which includes a timetable for implementation. The greatest benefit of this process is that it ensures high-level support for change.

II. Implementation. In this phase, the objective is to implement the corrective action plan as defined in Step I. We begin by communicating the implementation strategy within the organization. Next, we establish cross-functional teams. Finally, we implement the action plan with a focus on redesigning operating processes to achieve dramatic improvements in costs, service levels, and supply chain improvements. During this phase, technology and other enablers, such as education and training at all levels of the organization, are incorporated to facilitate change and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

III. Tracking. Our process is based on the fundamental belief that implementing change and improving operational effectiveness takes time and requires ongoing monitoring to gauge actual performance against improvement targets. While this step is the one most often overlooked by other consultants, we believe it is essential in establishing a culture of continuous improvement. Using defined measurement tools, we track performance metrics customized to each client such as cycle times, delivery performance, productivity, cost reductions, quality, customer service, and equipment effectiveness. The bottom line is that dramatic improvements can be achieved in any organization when a continuous process for measuring and comparing performance, both internal and external, becomes the norm.
